Reach and Rescue Scaff Hook Carrago

The Carrago attaches a fixed line and double action hook to a distant eyelet to facilitate heavy retrieval. It is a large, lightweight, aluminium carabiner for longer diameter anchor points.

The offshore industry commonly uses the Carrago attachment to access out of reach anchor points. It is also used as a rescue system to hook on to a casualty in a difficult access or fall arrest scenario, or to recover casualties in the water from the safety of a vessel.

How to Use

1. Secure the Carrago to the pole’s gold collar.
2. Attach a tagline to the double action hook’s release lever.
3. Insert the hook into the Carrago.
4. Keep hold of the tagline while extending the pole to enable the Carrago to reach the target.
5. Hook the double action hook to any securing point on the target such as a harness D ring or attachment point.
6. Once the target is hooked, pull the pole away from the target. This action releases the double action hook from the pole leaving a secure line for retrieval of the object or person.
