Pool Rescue Sinking Manikin

The Pool Rescue manikin was developed in conjunction with the Royal Life Saving Society and combines many features to enable it to be used with different rescue techniques.

Constructed from high-density webbing and ultra strong, abrasion resistant material, the manikin is filled with closed cell foam and PVC pellets to achieve realistic buoyancy and patient ‘feel’. The Pool Rescue manikin is available in adult and youth sizes.

Features

• Designed to feel like an unconscious patient. The manikin will sink, yet is sufficiently buoyant to float when being towed.
• Suitable for many rescue scenarios: retrieval from the bottom of a pool, rescue towing, training with rescue boards and extraction from the water.
• Improves performance as trainers can identify weaknesses such as slow towing because the manikin’s legs start to sink if a consistent speed is not maintained.
• Flexible reinforced arms may be raised aloft to enable lifeguards to practice hauling the patient from the water using correct lifting techniques.
• Reinforced nylon mesh covering enables rapid draining on land, and for ventilation and drying.
